Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb on how they're staying fit in lockdown

Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb have revealed the creative ways they are working up a sweat while in quarantine amid the coronavirus pandemic — from dancing with their kids to practicing lifting them.

The Today co-hosts about their new routines on Tuesday morning’s show with Jenna, 38, sharing that she has been using her time at her Long Island cottage to work out with her daughters and husband.

‘I give the girls the option to either do their PE on Zoom or there are some really fun Kidz Bop dances. So, I have been doing those dances classes with them,’ she said. ‘I look hilarious, but the kids are moving and dancing to music and singing along.’

Jenna and her husband Henry Hager have three children: Mila, seven, Poppy, four, and baby Hal, who will be turning nine months old next week.

The mom said it’s been rainy, which makes working out difficult, but she noted that if parents go to YouTube and put in kid exercises, ‘so much comes up.’

Hoda, who has daughters Haley, three, and Hope, one, was excited to incorporate the Kidz Bop dances classes into her own quarantine routine.

‘I have been trying to run with a mask on in the middle of nowhere,’ said the 55-year-old, who has been staying her beach home with her fiancé, Joel Schiffman, and their two daughters.

‘I don’t know if it’s psychological, but I feel like I can’t breathe. I feel like I’m not getting air,’ she explained, saying it feels like she is breathing in carbon dioxide. ‘I feel like it gets in my brain, and I start freaking myself out.’

Hoda revealed earlier this year that she has been working with a personal trainer to ensure that she can continue to lift her eldest daughter, Haley, who weighs about 35 pounds.

‘I want to be able to pick her up and put her down,’ she said on Tuesday’s show.

The co-anchor explained that she has continued those workouts, but without having any weights on hand, she’s had to use a case of water bottles.

Keeping fit: Hoda, 55, said she has been lifting cases of water and doing pushups on her couch to make up for the workout sessions with her trainer that she is missing

‘I don’t have a weight. I was going to steal one from our gym, but then I thought I would get caught on camera, so I didn’t,’ confessed Hoda, who is still filming at the Today show studio in 30 Rockefeller Plaza.

‘So, I use a case of water.’

The mother of two said that while holding the case of water on her lap, she slowly stands up and sits down 16 times.

‘It’s great for your thighs,’ she told Jenna, adding that she also does pushups with her hands on her couch.

Her co-star couldn’t resist asking if Joel has been working out with her, and Hoda admitted she doesn’t like him to.

‘I don’t like to work out [with him] because I don’t like when stuff’s oozing for someone to witness,’ she explained.

‘Or shake — in my case, jiggling,’ joked Jenna, who said she and her husband have been working out together for the first time.

‘Henry and I been doing workouts together because…we just have, which is really fun because we never had that opportunity before,’ she said.
