The spaghetti western theme, which was already well received in the first season, is now even more clearly emphasized musically and staged in the first season — with great success. Even if the strategy put in place by the «Star Wars» owner Disney in the context of the cult franchise is not unanimously welcomed by all fans, «The Mandalorian» offers beautiful images, background music and exciting action entertainment.

A lot has become known about the cast in Season 2. We will surely see some friends from the first season again. Of course, Pedro Pascal will be there again as Mando. But also Gina Carano as ex-rebel Cara Dune and Carl Weathers as guild leader Greef are part of the second season — the latter also as director of one of the episodes.

Giancarlo Esposito will also play villain Moff Gideon again in season 2. Other well-known actors such as Emily Swallow as the blacksmith could also return.

Who is playing? Werner Herzog is unfortunately no longer available as a villain — attention, spoilers, for those who have not yet seen the first season. Timothy Olyphant («Fargo», «The Grinder») is the guest at the start of the second season in the role of the law enforcement officer of Mos Pelgo.

For example this absurd preprogrammed weapon that kills ten enemies at once with the push of a button. Or the speeder bike that he rides through the Tatooine dunes. He is also fluent in the grunt language of the Tusken robbers.

Cuteness factor Baby Yoda is adorable again. But that also applies to the hustle and bustle of Javas and the spoiled droids that cavort in a spaceship workshop on Tatooine and that have the amazing resemblance to the minions from «Despicable Me».

Lexicon of useless knowledge What the Swabians like at the end of their place names is the word Mos for the Tatooiners. At least we find out that the way to Mos Pelgo leads past Mos Eisley and Mos Espa.
