Mother-of-three transforms rundown 1950s home into ultra-modern abode

A mother-of-three has transformed her dated, run-down home into an ultra plush modern living space, which has picked up awards for its design.

Clare Pater, 35, from Hendon, north London, bought the house with her husband Jake, also 35, to live in with their children, Amelie 11, Asher, nine, Ava, six, and their Labradoodle puppy Oscar, eight months.

The couple were already living in the area, but decided to move to a bigger place for their growing brood.

They wanted to stay nearby as their children were at school and had many friends locally.

In their hunt for a new home, they stumbled across a detached four-bedroom property from the 1950s — but it needed a complete renovation.
